What?
Science Survival Kit Summer School (SSKSS) [1], a 6-week-long summer program by Rhizome Association [2]
Where?
At the beautiful Dalmatian coast, Split, Croatia
When?
From July 15th, Until August 26th 2019
Why?
To bring you the necessary skills and mindset that would help you address the research questions in natural sciences, explore Sustainable development goals (SDGs) and jumpstart your careers.
How?
We use research-based teaching and an innovative pedagogical approach to offer participants a unique training that develops both research and transversal skills essential in the 21st century: learning to learn, creativity, critical thinking, collaborative work and the use of modern technology in working environments.
How can you join?
The goal of the Science Survival Kit program is to gather participants from around the world and learn in a stimulating interdisciplinary and international setting. No prior experience in natural sciences is necessary to join the program, but we will look for 15 highly motivated individuals who are able to contribute to a collaborative project-based environment. Anyone with a completed high-school can join, life-long learners included. Since all courses will be conducted in English, we expect the participants to be fluent in English.
Applications are submitted online, with the second application deadline on February 10th.
How much does it cost?
Participation fee of 1500 EUR covers all teaching, practicals and projects, as well as accommodation and lunches on the course days.
