hi folks -
I've recently helped establish a new Public Engagement / Maker Residency
program through the College of Architecture, Design, and the Arts here at UIC in Chicago. I'm hoping you might help me spread the word - and/ or perhaps even consider applying ~!
We're offering 1 month or 3 month residencies. These are open to not just
artists - but also to community organizers, technologists, curators, scholars, writers, urban agriculturalists, performers, system-thinkers, food artists, game-makers, and any other category of ?creatives? who are committed to exploring ways in which knowledge, Making, and outreach can contribute to education and local community life.
The residencies will be housed in two spacious, studio workspaces,
located in the very wonderful MANA Contemporary Art Center in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago.
Attached is the full description of the new program as well as the
application.
Please do pass it along! - and feel free to contact me directly with any
questions.
happy springtime,
Sabrina Raaf
