Hi Arangel 1st of all thanks for invitation and I am verry happy to read this kind of information from my motherland
Hi Tomislav :)
Please can you provide some more informations about this session ? Date ?
28 - 29 of May - that's Saturday and Sunday, but would be good if you could get there on the 27 - Friday.
Place ( hotel / school / university /congress hall ) ? and agenda if is available ?
Based on the feedback we got from most of the people so far we decided to go with option number two for the accommodation. It's a villa, near the center of the city, it can take up to 30 - 40 people no problem and it also has a large conference room downstairs for 60+ people, we can use that for talks.
We're planning to set up one or two wimax antennas for the Internet there, we could probably get 10Mbps out of those - the good thing is that we can use them anywhere, even outside, as long as we can get an extension cord. :)
There is no ready agenda, the point of the event is to do the agenda the first day, people say their interests and then based on what most of the people want to hear we make an agenda and then go from there. For example if there are a lot of people working with python and there is also many interested people to hear a talk on something cool related to python then we put that on the agenda. From the experience so far, it takes about 30-40 minutes to do this and then we have an agenda for the rest of the event.
maybe if some web/wiki page is created > link it here ...
yup - http://wiki.spodeli.org/NSND/2011/%D0%9E%D1%85%D1%80%D0%B8%D0%B4 - there are some prices here on the accommodation, distances from surrounding countries etc. There are direct flights to Skopje (not sure about Ohrid but I can check) from Prague and Vienna and regular buses from Brno, Prague and Vienna to Skopje. If you get to Skopje on, lets say Thursday or Friday we can organize something and then take you to Ohrid by car or organized transportation (vans, buses, taxi etc).
Feel free to ping me anytime if you have any other questions, I'm also on #brmlab and I will try to get back to you asap. :)
