Finally we have the new Malware Nights seminar coming!!! Such great news! We are very glad to announce our 3rd episode of Malware Nights. We worked a lot for this, and we hope to see you there!
In case you missed the first two episodes, Malware Nights is a free, regular security event to teach the most advanced topics on malware detection, analysis, attacks and everything you need to know about this area.
What: This time the seminar will be about Malware Reverse Engineering. It is designed for people with no previous knowledge in malware reversing and also for people that can do a basic malware analysis. If you want to start on malware reversing or if you want to know how to continue learning, this seminar is for you.
How: As it is our tradition, the seminar is strongly based on hands-on, practical work. We will work with real malware and live examples. The idea is for you to really learn about this.
Who: This time, the seminar will be taught by Michal Ambroz, a very well know malware analyst in the community. He is one of the most trusted VirusTotal users and the owner of one of the most extensive tracking projects of malware in the Internet: The malware corpus tracker http://track.h3x.eu/
When: May 25th, from 18hs to 21hs
Where: It will be held in Karlovo Namesti 13, Building E, classroom K1 (also known as K107). FEL, CVUT. (https://goo.gl/maps/75ch2aKdnzR2). Same place as the previous seminars.
Registration: The seminar is open to everybody from around the world, the only condition is to personally register by sending an email to sebastian.garcia@agents.fel.cvut.cz
There will be refreshments and food during the break. Also, there will be announcements about new opportunities for new bachelor/master/phd students to work in the Stratosphere Project for their Thesis research.
