Hi guys, I'm the one who went visiting your hackerspace just a couple hours ago. Thanks a lot for the time spent into showing me all the cool stuff you are doing.
Here are some quick links about things we were discussing, just to somehow remain in contact
- -for all those I talked to that were working on high-voltage here's the link to the guys using the magnetron for strange experiments: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Xkx7FTWERw I don't recommend doing anyithing similar as it may be dangerous, though
- -for the person I was talking to about geiger counters (sorry, I am bad at remebering names) here's the link i was talking about http://www.pocketmagic.net/tube-sts-5-%D1%81tc-5-geiger-tube Based on the fact that he says 18CPM is roughly 0.12uSV/h one can compute a rough conversion factor for that geiger tube. It may not be very accurate, but that's the best I could find
- -last thing as any hacker likes to show their projects, attached is a photo of the power supply for the geiger counter with nixie tubes I am designing. Notice the self-built transformer. I may post you a photo of the complete build, and also the schematic when it is finished, if you are interested.
Thanks again, goodbye
