Hello again!
Wow, that was a very quick reply :-) Yes, this is my email address.
Thanks for the link to your project files. I will definitely look at them when I have more time (I'm currently learning for my Bc. final exams due
on
16th this month).
in that repository you will also find the pcb lauoyt and schematics for the lamp matrix controller that I have designed for the pinball project.
and also arduino code for controlling it, and the dmd and also some dosbox patches (which is specific to my personal project)
Hopefully, with support from an experienced pinball builder, I could find more people to actually help me with my project :-).
I would love to help you on whatever design you choose to build/create. But I would be extremely happy if you chose to build on of the other pinball fantasies table layouts :-)
In the future I'd like to design a fully free (as in freedom) design for a pinball machine. But I have decided to start by building a machine based on a pre-existent layout because I knew that pinball building is a complex project and that designing a good layout demands a lot of knowledge, so I thought I should first learn how to build and then in a future project try to learn how to design a good playfield. It is not easy to master everything at once, so I preffer to make it in 2 complementary steps.
As for your visit, I'm sure that we could work something out if you'd be interested.
yes, perhaps. I am still planning my trip.
Our hackerspace is just starting, but we already have the legal entity, cca. 20 members and if everything goes right, we should have our physical space in two weeks. By the way, our web address is brmlab.cz, so
be
sure to check it out.
yes, I've seen it. The projects page in your wiki looks great!
Best regards,
Cestmir "Czestmyr" Houska
P.S.: May I forward your answer to our mailing list?
sure!
P.P.S.: I just noticed your email host name. Are you a member of THE FSF? I'm just curious :-)
yes, I am a member. This means I donate a small ammount of money once a year. Other than that, I am also a GNU hacker. I am co-mantainer of GNU LibreDWG, a free library to handle the secret file format used in AutoCAD. http://www.gnu.org/software/libredwg/

I will be in Europe next November for attending the Mozilla Drumbeat Festival in Barcelona. I may consider visiting your city if you can host me for a while.
Last June I have spent the whole month visiting hackerspaces around Europe. And now I am starting a hackerspace in my city (São Paulo, in Brazil).
I can help you with the pinball project. You can look at sourcecode and SVG filtes available at http://code.google.com/p/how-to-build-a-pinball/
I am happy to hear about your project!

Hello, Felippe!
I'm planning to create a DIY pinball table in a new Prague hackerspace and I found your project. I must say that I'm very impressed with the look of your table. However, it seems that you didn't do much in the last two or three months. I hope that you'll finish it.
Is there a way I can contact you so that we can share experience? My project is in its early phase yet, but there are also a few people in the hackerspace that are interested, so hopefully it will get started.
Regards, Cestmir "Czestmyr" Houska.
P.S.: My mail is my nickname hosted at google.
