I certainly do offer a solution... hack your life! What is it when one doesn't have time to properly feed oneself in a 1st-world country? As soon as it happens, one must question what is going on. It is NOT the norm as the site proposes. And if you think I'm a hippie, I'm not. I just know that we have way too many worthless green lawns when we should have gardens. The city tends to fruitless flower beds and bushes when they can bear herbs, fruits and vegetables as well--same with home owners. There needs to be a paradigm shift in thinking. Yes, we are doing things wrong, and this isn't the solution. It is rather supporting the wrong way we are heading--to zero! We continue to state that the world is over-populated, so government takes it in the ass and turns to Monsanto. It's the same elitist FUD: Problem, Reaction, Solution
I'm stating it now before it attempts to snowball in the minds of hackers. The film Solyent Green debuted in 1974 as a food-"big brother" film. Only the writers were a bit off. It won't be meat-based (people). It'll be Monsanto running to the solution from all the panic that was truly seeded in far in advance.
These pathetic drinks are nothing new. What might be new is their attempt at gaining mass, maybe worldwide, appeal. I say die.

I bought and consumed Nutridrinks for quite some time - simply because I was too busy to eat, or too lazy to go out (of office) or (usually) both. An hour saved everyday is just huge.
Many people don't eat breakfast because of time constraints. Many people don't eat anything between lunch and dinner. Eating and then working is sometimes worse than not eating at all.
I love good food (hard to find any, though), but there's no reason to have good food everyday, or twice a day - I go out on weekends and eat steaks and stuff at restaurants if occassion arises, and I enjoy it. That doesn't mean I can't just "replenish nutrients" during the day, and if it takes no time and doesn't make me sleepy - great.
Let the hippies gather fresh herbs every day, some of us are too busy and have precious little time.
And there will come a time, when having a steak will be a luxury, because there simply won't be enough (sustainable) food for everyone. You offer no solutions.

When I first read this here http://www.joylent.eu/ I thought it was a
joke. Seriously??? :(
"Joylent is a powder that you add to water to make a meal that has all the nutrients you need."
So we should take the fun, thriving, and survival experience out of
foraging and eating? Just something to consider that was already covered fictitiously...

Monsanto loves the idea of "superfood", and they love vegan too. FYI, the Wikipedia page has been deleted, and it wasn't my doing--claims
of blatant advertising.
Is anybody sure they want to support this shit? Things like this can
only prosper from "facebook creations". What a dumb idea, and an incredibly stupid philosophy.
Try "slow food" for a change, and make time for it! Life is worth it!
To put the proverbial crown on the bumbling king, the quotes toward the
end of the page (http://www.joylent.eu/) are clearly from complete and utter retards...
camille "Food on festivals is often expensive and unhealthy. But to party hard
you need to take in sufficient nutrients. With a couple packs of Joylent in my bag I know I can go on all weekend!
manon Food is the last thing on my mind when I'm hungover. But to let your
body recover from a heavy night out, you have to get your nutrient levels up. With some Joylent I can hit the club the very same evening, it's the ultimate hangover remedy!
sjors I prefer a couple more minutes of snooze time over my breakfast. But
it's nice to start a day with a good meal. With Joylent I down an excellent healthy breakfast each morning in no-time.
