Hi folks,
I am just attending an opening event of http://www.paralelnipolis.cz/. Kind of interesting crowd here: artist, coworking space operators and people who mention a lot of buzzwords (WikiLeaks, Bitcoin and the like). Don't understand much but sounds interesting! Anyone aware of these? Thanks

There have already been few IRC discussions about this, so we are aware they exist, but know little details besides what's on the web page. (I think you mentioned yesterday that they are to reside on Dělnická 43.)
My impression is that they seem extremely private and almost secretive about what they are setting up, which feels very unhackerspace-y to me. They avoided any contact with brmlab so far (or even mentioning it in their texts), there are no public resources and their wiki disabled public read access shortly after it was linked on #brmlab. So that feels kind of strange.
Still, I think we'll be happy for any competition and are generally curious about them. They seem to be far more like a "private club" than us, which certainly fills a different niche, that's great! I just hope for them that a community in this style is long-term sustainable...

And it gets better, I've got there account since yesterday, today it got disabled (actually, all permissions revoked). I'm really wondering if they will keep this secretive approach in the future...

Tomorrow at about 19:15 some of the Paralelni Polis people will come to brmlab meetup and talk more about their project. :)
