I hope this email finds you well.
This is Matthew Poet from the Hertie School. We are excited to extend an invitation to students at your university to participate in the upcoming Data4Good Festival in Berlin, in January 2026.
The Data4Good Festival is centred on data challenges for the common good, bringing together undergraduate students from across Europe and fostering creativity, collaboration, and innovative solutions to address pressing societal issues using data-driven approaches. The festival will host a weekend of fun hacking, learning and networking while letting students enjoy great moments in Berlin.

Event Highlights:
* Hackathon for the Common Good: Students will participate in a hackathon aimed at addressing real-world challenges using data-driven solutions. This hands-on experience will focus on enhancing their technical skills by working on real-world datasets. Students can win cash prizes, access to premium data science learning resources and other awards. * Data science workshops: professors, data experts and practitioners in the field will conduct specialized workshops throughout the festival to provide insights into data science workflow and the latest trends, best practices and technologies. * Social events and networking opportunities: The festival will provide a platform for students to connect with like-minded peers, industry professionals, and mentors with social activities to make lasting connections.
We believe that the event will not only enrich the academic experience of the students but also empower them to think about data science as a tool for social good. Your support in encouraging student participation would be greatly appreciated, and we would be delighted if you could spread the word.
Should you have any questions or require additional information, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. Thank you for considering this invitation, and we look forward to welcoming your students to the Data4Good Festival in Berlin.
