Hi, Akamai ( http://www.akamai.com/ ) hledá do svého pražského týmu vývojáře. Oficiální požadavky jsou k dispozici na http://www.akamai.com/html/careers/current_openings.html (když se vyhledá Location CZ-Prague a zvolí "Senior Systems Software Engineer - Media"), uživatelský popis hlavního pražského projektu je na http://www.akamai.com/client . Stručně se od zájemců očekává angličtina slovem i písmem, znalosti síťových protokolů (řekněme od TCP congestion control po specifikaci HTTP) a zkušenosti s jejich implementací (tj. sockety) a také informovaný, pozitivní vztah k C++ - není _nezbytně_ nutné aby dotyčný chápal http://video.hrach.eu/video/brm/asynchronous_programming.mkv , ale neměla by ho ta přednáška vyděsit... :-) Bye Vašek

Two art and technology research positions- iARTA- University of North Texas

Dear Colleagues, I am writing to let you know about two extraordinary art and technology research positions recently announced at the University of North Texas. The first position is in the area of Physical Computing and the Arts and the second is broadly defined as a practitioner of Interdisciplinary Arts and Science. These open rank posts are intended as integral to the creation of the Initiative for Advanced Research in Technology and the Arts (iARTA), an interdisciplinary research cluster here on the UNT campus located at the northern edge of the Dallas metroplex. If it is possible to post or disseminate this to interested practitioners who may wish to join us in building an internationally recognized creative research cluster with visionary activities spanning the arts, engineering and sciences. Vazeni kolegove, na doporuceni jednoho priznivce brmlabu se na vas obracime s nabidkou prace. Verime, ze je prace zajimava bud pro nekoho z vasich clenu nebo jejich znamych. Velky duraz v dane pracovni pozici klademe na kreativitu a chut do bastleni obecne, ale take na kvalitu toho co vytvorime. Formalni popis je na:http://rice.zcu.cz/soubory/organizace/sw-dev.pdf Neformalne se jedna o praci v nove vznikajicim vyzkumnem centru zamerenem na inovace v elektrotechnice a elektronice. Pracujeme na projektech spolecne s prumyslovymi partnery, takze jsou vitany zkusenosti s velkymi projekty. Ocekavame, ze rozlozeni prace bude vyvazene mezi projekty prumysloveho charakteru a volny vyzkum novinek a novych pristupu. Takze bastlici postup hlava=>klavesnice jen kdyz zkousime neco uplne noveho, jinak hlava=>papir=>vic hlav=>papir=>klavesnice=>otestovani=>dokumentace.
