*database administrator / application specialist (m/f)*
We are seeking a qualified and motivated developer/IT specialist to adapt, manage, and further develop a LAMP-based database. The successful candidate will support the specific needs of the application, including data handling, scripting, creating templates, setting up workflows, fixing errors, educating users and co-develop the software. This database employs Perl and JSP with some additional R (www.r-project.org) scripts.
*Required Skills*
· data handling - collecting, processing, analysis workflows
· development of web-based applications on LAMP
· proficiency in programming in at least one script language Perl/Python/PHP
· experience with JavaServer Pages (JSP) technology
· mySQL, postgreSQL administration
· excellent English communication skills (written and spoken)
· at least 3 years of LAMP experience is an advantage

The position is available immediately for a fixed-term of two years with the possibility to extend. The place of work is BIOCEV / CCP in Vestec u Prahy.

The Institute of Molecular Genetics is a leading Czech research institute in the field of genetics that sets up the CCP as part of the BIOCEV project (www.biocev.eu), in which biomedical research institutes of the Czech Academy of Science and two faculties of Charles University are involved. This new scientific centre is located in the municipality of Vestec in the close vicinity to Prague and will employ up to 600 persons.
The CCP (www.phenogenomics.cz) is a key part of BIOCEV project and a member of international consortia IMPC and INFRAFRONTIER. We provide excellent research service and assistance in the field of mouse phenotyping and transgenic technologies for users world-wide.
