Hi all, once again today, just short question: is there anybody willing to attend DefCon this year? Do somebody already have a registration? It seems like I will have house near LasVegas Strip boulevard, car is still needed to get there, but it can be cheaper to reserve whole villa for week or something like that, so please let me know who want to attend this year and who is able to drive, I will try to manage house and let us all keep informed about progress. I havent checked registration this year jet, so if you know some tips and tricks, let me know too. Regards, - Over

Hello Andrea, sorry for little longer reply time, I have just returned from Las Vegas, where we have been @ NAB broadcast technology exhibition, so I’m little bit jet-lagged now… but I will be alive tomorrow, at was some un-dead version of me. You are leaving today [monday]? When? I will be woken up in about 10am, but need to go to work till 7-9pm, than I’m relatively free to meet u somewhere. Where you are located in Prague? Do you have plans to return here again? When exacty r leaving? Flyght or train/bus/car? Parkovani u brm

Ahoj, jenom heads-up - chcete-li do brm vyrazit autem, vezte, ze situace s parkovanim je jeste mizernejsi, nez driv: * Zasadne *neni* problem s vjetim na dvur, ale pouze kvuli vylozeni a nalozeni objemnych veci a zase *opusteni prostoru obratem*. Parkovani je mozne jiz jen naprosto vyjimecne; urcite ne pres den a skoro urcite ne ani vecer. * Drive se slo domluvit s vratnym o zaparkovani na "P vyhrazene pro zakazniky ekolo" (primo na Bubenske ul.). Nyni uz klice od retezu vubec *nepujcuji* kvuli nejakym problemum s vlastnictvim pozemku a s mestskou casti, ktere jsem nepochopil. * Posledni mesice fungoval hack s parkovanim na asfaltove plose pred hlavnim vchodem (prijezd podel vnitrni strany zabradli kolem jihovychodniho rohu budovy). Tato moznost se posledni dny stava problematickou, nebot z prostoru se razem stalo oblibene vyletni misto mestskych strazniku; dnes mne tam dokonce jeden privital osobne, ale prostor monitoruji dlouhodobeji. Lze stale doporucit zajemcum o social engineering strazniku a hackovani prestupkovych rizeni. * V zelenych a oranzovych zonach v blizkem okoli jde parkovat vecer a o vikendu i bezplatne, volne misto s pravdepodobnosti >0.5 vsak najdete jen ve vsedni dny pozdeji vecer. Dlouhodobe neni situace zcela ztracena. Probiha spor^Wjednani s mestskou casti o to, zda je asfaltova plocha pred vchodem chodnik a co by s tim slo delat, zkusim zjistit podrobnosti. Take mam par dalsich tipu na zajimava mista k zaparkovani v tesnem okoli, ktera chci postupne prozkoumat. Happy parking, Petr "Pasky" Baudis

Ahoj! Mam napad na projekt a zajima me, koho by to take zajimalo a chtel by se aktivne zapojit. *O co jde?* - Pomoci Oculusu, 3D modelovaciho sw (Blender, 4D Cinema, ...) a zarizeni snimaciho polohu a pohybu koncetin (predevsim rukou a prstu) modelovat ve virtualni realite 3D objekty a prostredi. *K cemu to muze byt dobre?* - Usnadneni modelovani a podstatne lepsi predstava o prostredi a meritcich objektu oproti modelovani pomoci standardnich ovladacich prvku procitace. - Vyuziti "akci" ve virtualnim prostoru: vitr, ohen, dest, pohybujici se predmety vseho druhu, hudba z ruznych mist prostoru, svetelne efekty, ... pro simulaci vedeckych ci umeleckych projektu. - A samozrejme moznost primo z prostredi sw vytisknout na 3D tiskarne hotove dilo :) *Kdo je wanted?* - Programatori, kteri se vyznaji ve 3D. - Hardwerari, kteri rozumi cidlum a jinym podobnym hejblatkum. (Vyse jsem nastrelil ideu s technologiemi, ktere znam, ale muzou byt na to vhodnejsi...) - Lidi, kteri chteji takovou vec pouzivat a budou ji aktivne testovat. Jako stycny dustojnik jsem se zvolil sam, tak to na me valte :) Dan 604209876
